Description

This is a house, likely dating to around 1600, located on Willington Road in Cople. It is a timber-framed building with rough cast rendering, and the timber frame is exposed on one gable. The roof is covered in old clay tiles. The house has a layout in the shape of an ‘H’, with a front elevation featuring five gables of varying sizes, the central and outer ones projecting forward. A further projecting wing extends to the rear. The house is two storeys high. On the ground floor are four three-light casement windows, while the first floor has five two-light casements. Some windows retain leaded lights. A porch is located in an off-centre projecting bay on the ground floor, featuring a three-centred arched wooden surround. Two rebuilt chimney stacks, constructed of red brick, are present on the main block of the house.
