Description

Mingalay is a cottage from the 18th century located at Water End in Cople. It features a colour washed rough cast exterior over a timber frame and is topped with thatch. The cottage has a two-room layout, is one storey high with attics, and includes a higher block attached to the south, along with a weatherboarded thatched barn to the south of the main structure. There are two dormer windows, and all the windows are modern wood and metal casements from the 20th century. The left-hand side has a 20th-century door, and there is a red brick ridge stack, which may align with the original door position, as well as a red brick gable end stack on the north side.
