Description

The Crump and Hill memorial is a pedestal memorial located about 10 metres south of the west tower of the Church of St Mary. It was erected in memory of individuals who died in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Made of sandstone ashlar, the memorial features a moulded plinth and cornice, with an urn finial that is currently lying on the ground. The west side of the memorial has an inscription that reads: "In memory of Hannah daughter of Joseph and Sarah Hill who died April 10th 1788 Aged VII weeks. Also of Sarah wife of Joseph Hill who died November 10th 1796 Aged 50 years. Also of the said Joseph Hill who died ..... 18th 1811 Aged 75 Years."
