Description
The Church of St Mary is a parish church built in 1831 and extended in 1899. It is constructed of ashlar stone and has a slate roof. The church features a west tower, nave, and chancel, all part of the 1899 extension. The west tower has two stages, diagonal stepped buttresses, and a plain parapet with pinnacles at the corners, topped by an octagonal stone spire. It includes a moulded string and a large lancet window with a label in the belfry, as well as an entrance through a west door with a two-centred arch. The nave consists of three bays separated by stepped buttresses, with windows that have two cinquefoiled lights beneath two-centred heads. The chancel has one window with two ogee cinquefoiled lights under a two-centred head, and the east window features three ogee cinquefoiled lights under a two-centred head with a label that has foliate stops. The interior has not been inspected.
