Description
The hill monument, located in the churchyard about 9 metres south of the aisle of the Church of St John the Baptist, is a chest tomb dating from the late 18th century. It is made of limestone and features a plinth with one fielded panel on the main sides. The monument has roll moulded pilasters leading to an entablature topped with a flat moulding. It commemorates Mary Hill, who died in 1770. At the time of the survey in June 1985, the monument was overgrown with ivy.
