Description

The stable at Manor House is an early 19th-century structure built for the Longleat Estate. It is constructed from coursed rubble stone with brick dressings and features a pantiled roof. The stable faces the east side of the barns across an open yard. On the west side, there are two planked stable doors and a shuttered opening, while the left return has a blocked opening. The east side includes two segmental openings and one square-headed opening. Inside, the stable has a three-bay roof supported by a collar and tie-beam. It was designed for draught horses, possibly for use with the horse engine located opposite.
