Description
This barn, located about 20 metres west of Upper Norchard Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century and has undergone repairs in the mid-20th century. It features a timber frame that is weatherboarded, with some sections replaced by corrugated iron, and has a tiled roof. The barn consists of six framed bays that are aligned east to west, with a threshing floor situated in the bay to the east of the centre. The framing includes three square panels in height, and the roof is supported by two raking struts for each intermediate truss. The gable ends are constructed with three struts leading to a collar, which has a king-post above it.
