Description
This barn, located about 425 metres southwest of Noak Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century and has been modified in the 20th century. It features a timber-frame and brick construction, with some areas weatherboarded and a corrugated iron roof. The barn consists of four structural bays and has opposed cart doors in the bay west of the centre. The north front showcases a timber-frame design with two panels high, supported by straight tension braces on a tall English bond brick wall, which has some repair areas. The roof includes intermediate trusses with raking struts that lack collars, ridge and trenched purlins, and angle braces connecting the wall posts to the tie-beam. The gable trusses are made up of four queen struts with V-struts in the apex. Additionally, there is a timber open-sided lean-to on the south wall.
