Description

This barn, located 40 feet west of Norwood Farm House, dates from the 17th century and was constructed in two phases. It features a timber frame set on a brick plinth, with weatherboard cladding and a large half-hipped roof covered in plain tiles. The barn consists of nine framed bays and has gabled projecting entrances on either side of the center, which flanks a central open pentice extension. Inside, there are some jowled main posts and a mix of roof trusses, including both Queen-post and Queen-strut designs.
