Description
The Lodge/Yard of The Red House is a service building that has been converted into a cottage, designed in 1893 by Sir Edwin Lutyens. It is constructed of red brick on a stone plinth, featuring stone dressings and a hipped plain tiled roof with end gablets and a weatherboard turret at the front. The building is single storey and has leaded casement windows. On the street front, there are two three-light casements at each end, framed in lugged surrounds, and two single light openings in the center, positioned on either side of the square turret topped with a pyramidal roof. There is a partially glazed loft door at the front of the turret, and the main entrance is located on the left side of the return front.
