Description
Tyrells is a house dating from the 17th century, with later refacing and 20th-century extensions. The building is timber framed, featuring whitewashed brick and render infilling on the ground floor, with tile hanging above. The extensions are clad in whitewashed brick and render, and the roofs are plain tiled. The original 17th-century range is to the left, with a later range parallel to the right, linked across the center. The old entrance front, now at the rear, is two storeys high and has a large offset stack to the left. It features double gables, each with one leaded casement window on the first floor, flanking a central first-floor casement. There is one three-light ground floor window to each range and central double casement doors. The new entrance front, which was formerly the rear of the house, consists of two gabled ranges, with the older range to the left featuring a large gable end stack. There is one casement window on each floor of the left-hand gable and one window on the ground floor to the right. The central door is set in a 20th-century shallow, wide gabled porch. The left-hand return front has three framed bays.
