Description
This is a late 18th or early 19th century house located on Bridge Street, Pershore. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, topped with a plain tile roof. The roof features a modillion eaves cornice and two brick chimney stacks at the ends. The house is three storeys high, with a cellar, and has a three-window front. The first floor has six-over-six sash windows with painted features mimicking stone detailing, including channelled voussoirs, keystones, and projecting sills. Above these are similar sash windows with a three-over-six pane configuration. The ground floor now has two added canted bay windows with pitched lead roofs, each containing four-over-four-over-six-over-four pane sashes. A central rendered doorcase features three-quarter Tuscan columns, an entablature with a blocking course, a fanlight with radial glazing bars, and a part-glazed panelled door with margin lights, accessed by two stone steps, one of which is nosed. The front of the building has a painted brick plinth. The interior of the house has not been inspected. Historically, the house was owned by the Perrott family and was once used as premises for basket-making.
