Description

No. 44 Bridge Street is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a renewed plain tile roof with painted brick dogtooth eaves and a brick end stack on the left side. The building has three storeys and a cellar, with a two-window range of boxed sashes under gauged brick flat arches on the first and ground floors, and smaller 3/6 sashes above. The central doorcase is adorned with a Classical architrave, fluted pilasters, a cornice, panelled reveals, a decorative fanlight, and a six-panel door, accessed by two steps. There is a part-painted brick plinth with a cellar grille on the left side. The interior has not been inspected.
