Description
46 Bridge Street is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a plain tile roof with painted brick dogtooth eaves and a brick end stack on the left side. The building has three storeys and a cellar.
The exterior includes a single-window range with a boxed sash window featuring a gauged brick flat arch on the first floor and a 3/6 boxed sash window above. On the ground floor, there is an added canted bay window with a flat leaded roof and a moulded cornice, which has renewed 8-pane fixed glazing on the sides and a 6/6 sash window in the center. A cellar grille is set in a brick apron. To the right, there is a six-panel door framed by a wooden architrave and topped with a corniced hood, accessed by two stone steps, one of which is nosed. The building has a part-rendered brick plinth. The interior has not been inspected.
