Description
No. 33 Bridge Street is a house dating from the second half of the 18th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a plain tile roof with painted brick dentilled eaves and brick end stacks. The building has three storeys and a cellar, with a two-window range.
On the second floor, there are boxed four-pane sash windows set beneath gauged brick flat arches, which have painted keystones and sills. The first floor features a similar, taller window on the right, while on the left there is a two-storey canted bay window with a pitched lead roof and plate glass sashes in moulded surrounds. The ground floor has a central remodelled doorcase with a bracketed hood, an overlight, and a renewed six-panel door. To the right, there is a carriage entrance with double plank doors that have iron spikes, and a painted stone plinth with a cellar grille on the left. A rear wing is also present. The interior has not been inspected.
