Description

This early 19th-century house, likely divided in the mid-19th century, is located on Bridge Street in Pershore. It is now divided into two properties. The building is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a plain tile roof, painted dogtooth eaves, and brick end stacks. The exterior has three storeys and a three-window front. The first floor has eight-pane sash windows with narrow glazing bars and painted channelled voussoirs, keystones, and sills. The second floor features two three-pane sashes with painted lintels and sills flanking a central four-pane sash, all within similar surrounds. The ground floor has matching eight-pane sashes. The central doorway is accessed via a door of eight fielded panels and a Y-traceried fanlight, all within an architrave with pilasters and an entablature topped with an open pediment. To the left of the doorway is a moulded doorcase providing access to the rear of the building, with a plank door. The interior was not inspected during the listing process. Historically, the building was used as premises for a barge owner.
