Description
49 Bridge Street is a house dating from the late 18th century, reputedly built in 1778, with alterations made in the 19th century. The building is constructed of brick in English Garden Wall bond, with a stucco-rendered front. It has a Welsh slate roof featuring a moulded eaves cornice and brick stacks at both ends, with the left stack being heightened, and another stack located at the rear.
The house is three storeys high and has a two-window range. The first floor features boxed sashes, while the second floor has 3/3 sashes, with a sill band present on each floor. On the ground floor, there is a central canted bay window with a combination of 4/4, 6/6, and 4/4 sashes, a projecting sill, and a pitched leaded roof. To the right, there is a moulded doorcase with a six-panel door and a brick plinth. At the rear, there is one sash window and a 6-pane casement window under a segmental arch, along with brick dentilled eaves. The interior has not been inspected.
