Description

The gates to Pershore House are mid to late 18th century drive gates made of wrought iron. They consist of a two-leaf carriage gate with rectangular piers and a pedestrian gate on the right. The main gate features wavy dog-bars, decorative spiked finials on the bars, and scroll-work on the base, middle, and top rails, along with scrolled terminals on the end-bars. The house name is added on the left side. The openwork piers have sides made of linked circles and claw heads topped with wooden acorn finials. The side gate is plainer, with slender bars.
