Description
Ridgeway Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with rendered brick infill set on a brick plinth, topped by a thatched roof. The building is L-shaped, with the main range extending to the north and east, and a stack located at the east gable end and roughly central in the main range.
The west front has one storey with an attic, which is illuminated by a 2-light casement window in the gable to the right and an eyebrow dormer in the left range. On the ground floor, there are two 2-light casement windows from the 20th century and a wide entrance with a 20th-century ledged door to the left. The framing consists of three square panels high with straight angle braces, and the west gable truss features two struts to the collar.
