Description

Lilac Cottage is a cottage dating from the 16th to 17th centuries, constructed of blue lias stone. The roof is covered with modern plain tiles, and there is a north-end wall stack. The cottage is one and a half storeys high. A gabled projection features a three-light stone mullioned window with a hoodmould below, and a four-light casement with an iron opening light above. A modern rear extension has been added. The cottage is attached to, and forms part of a group with Woodbine Cottage and Dingley Dell, located on Main Street.
