The Old Cottage is an 18th-century house constructed from blue lias stone, featuring a plain tile roof and a stack at the west end. It has two storeys and an attic, with a dormer on each side. The front facade includes a two-window range of paired casements and a central door, which is topped by a stone panel. The front wall has been partly rebuilt.
