Description
This barn, located about 40 metres east of Morton-Under-Hill Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century and has some alterations from the late 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, sitting on a sandstone plinth, and topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn features three framed bays that are aligned north to south, with a central threshing floor. The framing consists of a single rectangular panel that is high with straight tension braces, and the intermediate trusses each have two raking struts. Note that Morton-Under-Hill Farmhouse is not included in this listing.
