Description

This barn, located about 50 metres north-west of Morton-Under-Hill Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century and has undergone alterations in the late 19th century. It features a timber-frame construction, is weatherboarded, and sits on a sandstone plinth with a tiled roof. The barn consists of three framed bays arranged in a north/south orientation, with a central threshing floor. The framing includes three square panels high with straight angle braces, and the intermediate trusses are supported by two raking struts. The gables are constructed with two collars and multiple struts. Please note that Morton-Under-Hill Farmhouse is not included in this listing.
