4/102 Barn about 10 yards north of Shoulstone's - Farmhouse

GV II

Barn. Probably late C18. Timber-framed, dressed sandstone base, weather- boarded, plain tiled roof. Four framed bays with wagon bay second from south gable end, having opposed square-headed cart entries and double doors. North end bay, probable stable, of two storeys with entrance in east elevation. Framing: long rectangular panels from sill to wall-plate, long straight braces in lower corners and collar-and-tie-beam trusses with queen struts throughout, single row of trenched purlins and straight wind- braces. Roof in poor condition at time of survey (October 1984).
