Description

This barn, located about 15 metres south of Chadwick Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century and late 18th century. It features a timber-frame structure built on a sandstone plinth, with some sections having brick infill and others being weatherboarded, topped with a tiled roof. The barn consists of three framed bays with a central threshing floor. The framing includes three square panels in height and straight tension braces. The gables are supported by queen struts to the collar, with V-struts in the apex. Each of the brick infill panels has four ventilation holes.
