Description
This barn, located about 10 yards north-west of Moor End Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century and has undergone some alterations and additions in the late 19th century. It features a timber-framed structure built on a plinth of lias limestone rubble, with weatherboarding and a corrugated iron roof. The barn likely consists of six framed bays arranged in a north/south orientation, with a wagon bay positioned second from the south end that includes opposing cart entries with double doors. A brick bay is attached to the south gable end, along with a timber-framed addition on its west side. Additionally, there is a single timber-framed bay addition at the north gable end. The interior has not been inspected. This barn forms the western boundary of the farmyard in front of Moor End Farmhouse.
