Description
The game larder and adjoining garden wall, located about 10 yards north-west of Lindridge Priory, date from the late 18th century. The game larder is constructed of brick and features a hipped plain tiled roof with a square plan and a single storey. It has a dentilled eaves cornice, and all openings have cambered heads. There are two doors on the south elevation and a window at the center of the other elevations. The garden wall, which adjoins the west elevation of the larder, is also made of brick and has sandstone coping. The wall varies in height from four feet to eight feet and extends west for about 50 yards, where it is interrupted by a gateway with square piers, before continuing south for approximately 100 yards. This wall separates the garden of Lindridge Priory from the churchyard of the Church of St Lawrence. The structures are included for their group value.
