Description
The game larder, built in the mid to late 19th century, is located approximately 20 meters north of Keepers Lodge and the Gunnery, which are not included in this listing. It is constructed of yellow brick with ashlar dressings and features a stone slate roof. The building has an octagonal plan, with each face displaying a single-light window opening set in a recessed panel, topped with a flat brick arch. The corners are accented with ashlar quoins, and the doorway has a similar surround. Inside, there is a brick domed ceiling and iron hanging rails. This structure served as a game larder for the Lilford Estate.
