Description
The Old Post Office is a house that was later used as a Post Office, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped slate roof with a square plan. The building has two storeys and is adorned with a dentilled eaves cornice. It has two bays, with windows that feature rusticated voussoirs and moulded architraves, and twelve-pane sash windows throughout. The central entrance is highlighted by an open pediment, a moulded architrave, and a six-panelled door. There are brick stacks located on the rear side elevations.
The Old Post Office is prominently situated in the center of the village, next to High House, Lynbury, Maypole Cottage, and Wrights Cottage.
