Description
This is a 17th-century barn located to the south of Lower Court Farmhouse. It is constructed with a timber frame and features plastered infill panels made of brick and wattle-and-daub, along with some areas of brick refacing and replacement walling. The barn has a tiled roof and consists of five framed bays, standing two storeys high. The framing is exposed above the first floor, showcasing small square panels and long straight braces in the gable ends. The east elevation includes a large doorway with a planked door, along with five hayloft doors positioned above the first floor. Inside, the barn features raking strut trusses and single, trenched purlins, and it is floored throughout.
