Description

The dovecote at Leigh Court Farm is a mid-19th century structure built of brick and topped with a tiled pyramid roof. It has a square plan, but the lower storey is mostly hidden by adjacent farm buildings. The south-west wall features an enlarged entrance on the ground floor with plain reveals and a concrete lintel. Above this, there is a narrower opening leading to the upper storey, also with a concrete lintel. At the top of the roof, there is an open timber cupola beneath its own pyramid roof. The interior has not been inspected recently, but it is likely to be of interest.
