Description

This barn, located approximately 10 metres north-east of Marlbank Farmhouse, likely dates from the early 18th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill and weatherboarding, topped with a tiled roof. The structure is framed in three rows of square panels, with some straight tension braces. The upper panels and the upper parts of the gables are weatherboarded. There are opposed cart entrances in the long walls. Inside, the barn has three bays, and the trusses include tie-beams and raking struts.
