Description

This is a Grade II listed gas street lamp located at the National Grid Reference SO7785640799. The lamp features a tapering Windsor lantern that is held up by four scrolled brackets, which are attached to a barley-twist column. The lower section of the column is octagonal, has a foliate base, and displays the cast founder's mark. The ladder rest, which has been replaced, includes twisted arms and moulded finials. Originally designed for gas, the fittings have been removed, and the lamp has been converted to electricity.

There is a second lamp located towards the north end of Watery Lane at National Grid Reference SO7784940869. This lamp has had its lantern removed in the early 21st century and is not considered of special interest.
