Description

York House, at 268 Wells Road, is an early 19th-century building. It is two storeys high and has a stuccoed exterior, with wide eaves and a hipped slate roof punctuated by brick stacks. The building has three windows, each a hung sash with glazing bars. A band runs horizontally between the ground and first floors. The ground floor features two windows, alongside a columned porch topped with an entablature and cornice. Pilasters are built into the external walls. The entrance is a panelled door, above which is a rectangular fanlight.
