Description
Marlbank Farmhouse is a house built around 1700, constructed of brick and topped with a hipped tile roof. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and features seven bays, though the spacing of these bays is not completely regular. The windows are casements made with timber mullions and transoms, and they have gauged brick heads. On the ground floor, there are fluted keystones, while the first-floor keystones have raised panels, except for the central one, which displays a mask. A brick dentil course runs along the building, and a central attic dormer is designed with a pediment. The doorway, located in the third bay, is sheltered by a gabled brick porch, and there are chimneys at the rear. Inside, the farmhouse features exposed chamfered ceiling beams and doors with raised and fielded panels.
