Description
Green Farmhouse is a former farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The building is timber-framed with brick infill, and part of it has been refaced with brick on the rear and east return of the cross-wing. It features a tiled roof, which was formerly thatched. The structure is a straight range aligned east-west, with a projecting cross-wing at the west end. There is an axial stack located toward the junction with the cross-wing.
The farmhouse is single storey with an attic and has 20th-century windows throughout. The main range consists of four framed bays and includes two eyebrow dormers with three-light casements. There is a French casement window in the lower bay and two additional windows to the left of a glazed 20th-century door. The gable end of the cross-wing on the right has similar three-light windows, with one window in the attic and one on the ground floor. The framing is almost complete, featuring irregular three panels from the sill to the wall-plate, angle bracing on the top panel to the main post, V-struts in the gable, and timber weathering at lintel level.
