Description

Two former barns, located about 50 metres west of Hill Farmhouse, date from the 17th century and have 19th-century alterations. They are built with a timber frame on a rubble plinth, partly weatherboarded, and have a plain tile roof, forming an L-plan.

The north-west barn features about nine structural bays with square panelled framing, some of which include wattle-and-daub infill on the rubble ground floor, along with a lower two-bay extension to the right. The south-west barn consists of six structural bays of square panelled framing with brick infill and has two sets of opposed cart doors. Both barns have similar trusses that are filled with intersecting raking struts.
