Description

Two barns located to the west of Number 10 (Bury's Place) date from the early 18th century and early 19th century, with a mid-19th century link. They are constructed with a timber frame on a rubble plinth and have plain tile roofs, forming an overall L-plan. The barn facing Hope Lane features brick infill, consists of three framed bays, and has three square panels high to the wall-plate with straight tension braces. The left gable includes a roof truss with three queen struts and trenched purlins. The barn at right angles is weatherboarded, has three bays, and includes a central threshing floor. The barns are connected by a brick structure built in English garden wall bond on a rubble plinth.
