Description

Longmore Hill Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed with a timber frame, primarily featuring painted brick and some lath and plaster infill. It has a sandstone base for the stack, which is topped with brick shafts and covered by a tiled roof. The building has a central stack and a lobby entry, with the main range consisting of two bays; the end bay is gabled, and there is a slightly projecting wing to the right that also has two bays. The farmhouse is single storey with attics in the gables.

The windows are 20th-century wooden casements, with one in each gable and one below the porch. The later porch includes a 20th-century door and sidelights. The west gable features two casements in the attic and a three-light casement on the ground floor. The rear of the farmhouse has a later brick extension and an outshut, while the central stack has three conjoined star-plan shafts. The framing consists of three panels high from the sill to the wall-plate, with diagonal bracing from the sill to the corner posts, V-struts in the gables, and two collars with upper square panels in the left bay gable. Timber weathering is present at the lintels and tie-beam of the gables.
