Description

This is a 17th-century timber-framed cottage located on Cowleigh Road. The exterior features timber framing with plastered panels and a roughcast end wall. The roof is thatched with gabled and half-hipped ends. The original building comprised one storey and an attic, which now contains two casement windows in eyebrow dormers. The ground floor has three small casement windows and a modern glazed door positioned centrally. A single-storey lean-to adjoins the right-hand end of the cottage. There is a modern, flat-roofed, one-storey addition to the rear, constructed of painted brick, and a small brick chimney stack rises from the ridge of the roof. The building was previously known as Netheravon Cottage and then Netherhaven Cottage.
