Description

Milestone House and No 70 date from 1838, recorded by a commemorative plaque, and were erected by Charles Morris. The building is constructed of Malvern stone with stone dressings and wide eaves. The original school building features three long, round-headed windows with moulded surrounds, twelve-light mullions and transoms, and glazing bars. A similar surround defines the doorway, which has a ribbed door and a rectangular plaque above bearing the name 'North Malvern National Girls'. A later extension at right angles partially obscures the section to the left. The roof is hipped and slate. Rusticated quoins are visible between the sections, along with a decorative band to the left. Round-headed windows are present on the side elevation.

No 70, the school house located to the rear, is three storeys high and uses similar materials. It has three windows with casements and glazing bars. The top floor features flat-headed windows, while the first and ground floors have segmental-headed windows. A gabled porch is also present.
