Description

This is a Grade II listed gas street lamp made of cast iron, featuring a Windsor lantern. The lantern tapers and is held up by four scrolled brackets attached to a tapering octagonal column that has a heavily-moulded octagonal ring. The lamp sits on a moulded base that rests on an octagonal plinth with ogee stops, which is also cast with the founder's mark. The ladder rest includes slender, circular arms topped with moulded knop finials.
