Description

Old Dixeys is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered cottage situated on Church Street, Great Gransden. It incorporates the hall and end room of an earlier building, possibly dating to the 16th century, which is located to the east and connected via a later timber-framed bay. The cottage is two storeys high with an additional storey and attic. It has plain tiled and thatched roofs and two modern brick ridge stacks. The exterior features three first-floor casement windows, two dormer windows, and six ground-floor windows of varying sizes, some with glazing bars. A modern closed porch has been added. The interior includes inglenook hearths, moulded ceiling beams, and exposed timber framing.
