Description
End Thatch is a 17th-century cottage that has been altered over time. The building features a timber frame that is now concealed by later painted brick and roughcast. It has a thatched roof that is half hipped on the right side and extends over a lean-to on the left. A central brick chimney is present. The cottage is two storeys with an attic. The elevation facing the lane includes modern glazed doors on the left, a small bay window, and both three-light and two-light casements. The first floor has three two-light casements. The gable end features two-light windows on both the first floor and the attic. The garden elevation has a door opposite the chimney stack, a modern three-light casement on the left, and a two-light casement with a door to the right. There is also one two-light leaded casement on the first floor. Inside, there is a large stone chimney stack with an inglenook in the central room, along with heavy spine beams and exposed timber framing.
