Description
Lower Court is a farmhouse that underwent early 19th century rebuilding of a 16th century house on the same site. The building features a combination of stucco and painted brick, with hipped roofs that are partly slate and partly tiled, along with brick end stacks on the north elevation and at the rear. It stands two storeys high, with the entrance elevation consisting of two bays on the left and one bay on the right, which projects. The windows are glazing bar sashes, with the two ground floor windows accompanied by side lights. The wide, central doorway has a panelled door, a rectangular fanlight with a central glazing bar, and side lights. At the rear, there is a timber-framed wing of two structural bays, which is all that remains of the earlier house.
