Description

This barn, located about 25 metres north-east of Foster's Green Farmhouse, dates from the early 18th century, with some repairs made in the late 19th century and mid-20th century. It features a timber frame that is weatherboarded, resting on a plinth made of sandstone and brick, topped with a tiled roof. The barn is arranged in three framed bays that run in a north-east to south-west direction, with a central threshing floor. The framing consists of a single rectangular panel that is high and includes straight tension braces.
