Description

This barn, located about 20 metres north of Harvington Hall Farmhouse, dates from the early 18th century and has undergone some repairs in the mid-20th century. It features a timber-frame construction set on a brick and sandstone plinth, with weatherboarding and a tiled roof. The barn consists of four framed bays arranged in a north-south orientation, with a threshing floor situated to the south of the center. The framing includes two rectangular panels that are high and supported by straight angle braces. The intermediate trusses each have two raking struts, while the gable ends are reinforced with three struts leading to the collar.
