Description
The Church of St Mary is a Roman Catholic church located in Chaddesley Corbett, built in 1825 and extended between 1854 and 1855. It is constructed of sandstone ashlar with a tiled roof. The church features a three-bay design with a porch added to the west. The north front consists of a three-bay nave and chancel, which are separated by stepped buttresses, and diagonal buttresses at the corners. There are three windows with Y-tracery under 2-centred heads, and the east window has three lights also under a 2-centred head with Y-tracery. To the right of the entrance, there is a crenellated gable that contains two empty niches, and the door features a 2-centred head with one chamfered order. Inside, there are labels to the windows, a moulded cornice, and a segmental plastered vault. The west gallery has a panelled front topped with a balustrade featuring stick balusters.
