Description
The Cottage is a house dating from around 1700, with its front wall rebuilt in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a tile roof. The building has a three-room lobby-entry plan and stands two storeys high with three bays. The windows are timber casements with three lights, although the right-hand window on the ground floor is from the mid-20th century. The entrance door, located between the first and second bays, is sheltered by a gabled timber porch supported by curved brackets. A chimney is positioned in line with the door. Inside, each room includes a chamfered and stopped axial main beam. The middle room has exposed common joists and a fireplace with a brick arch.
