6/10005 Towpath Bridge,approx. 300m NW of Highbridge Road II

Towpath bridge. 1858. Cast iron wtih sandstone dressed brick abutments and wings. Single shallow arch with sides pierced with lattice saltaire cross pattern. Inscribed "Horseley Iron Company Tipton 1858". Deck cross plates. Built over Two Lock Line, which was built as a short cut to the Dudley No.1 canal. The canal collapsed in 1894 into old mine workings and was closed in 1909.
